*RING BEHAVIOUR*

From the Feb 1975 Min-Pin Monitor
Both dog & owner should be groomed in ring mannere & behaviour.
Every Exhibitor in the ring has paid for an opinion from the Judge,
& so all Exhibitors should be free to display their Exhibite to the
best of their ability & with no outside interference.
The Judge must also be considered. He has a job to do & can only
do it well or offer an opinion if your dog & yourself are Exhibited
in the best manner possible. Our manners & those of our dogs
should be exemplory under all circumstances & then no
interference of other Exhibiters can occur.
The equipment we use to Exhibit our dogs must suit the dog's
temperament & appearance. An aggressive dog shown on a light lead
is wrongly equipped, As would be a Toy dog on a large training collar.
Choose the collar or lead best suited to the individual animal.
Also the lead should not be gaudy or flashy & hence detract from the dog.
The dog is being judged not the equipment, So choose leads that tone
with the dog & not a contrast as it is often hard to see past the lead
to the outline of the dog. Likewise our own apparel should be clean,
neat & tidy to complet a well groomed team. A well presented team
is a pleasure to behold & judge. No Exibitor should insult a judge
by presenting a scruffy,dirty & untidy dog for his opinion.
